 What have you missed lately? The Week That Was #14 is finished. Plus the last two awards from Week #13.

Finally.....all the games from the past two weeks have the pp100s, floor %, D wraps and assists done.

If you wanted to purchase a photo from the basketball games I attended in JANUARY you are too late. They are now "gone forever." That means February is due to be cycled out next.

 North Tartan Coury will be playing against only the premier top level teams. They are in pool A.

M1 3rd in 15u American Division: JO Volleyball Reports 7.3.2009

Here are the winners of the 15u divisions:

TAV 15 Asics of North Texas won the Open division; Laguna 15 Wizard of Southern California won the National title; and Vision 15 Blue of Northern California won the American Crown.

M1 finished with the bronze medal in the American division.

Katie Hirsch of Chaska, Kayla Chezick of Champlin Park, and Anna Schlaak of NRHEG were named to the American All tournament team.

in the 15 open: Northern Lights 1 finished in 9th place with a 7-3 record.

in the 15 National: MN Select finished 31st with a 4-5 record. Northern Lights 2 was 43rd at 3-6.

in the 15 American: besides M1 finishing 3rd with a 6-4 record, M1 Navy was 39th at 3-6. MN Select 2 wsa 47th at 2-7.

In the 18s

Open: M1 is 5-2

National: MN Select 1 is 6-2. M1 Navy is 5-3.

American: SW MN Juniors is 5-4; Chaska is 4-4; MN North is 2-6; MN Select 2 is 1-7

In the 14s:

National: M1 is 3-2.

American: MN Select is 3-2

ALL STAR GAME

Morgan Albert of Brighton will play in the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan all-star game Aug. 1 at Brighton. The AB game is at 1 pm, the CD game is at 11 am.

San Antonio beat Chicago 85-72. Sophia Young had 19 points for SA. Armintie Price had 17 points for the Sky.

The Chisago County Press is going through their top 10 sports stories of 2008-09 and coming in at #4 is the North Branch second place run in section 3AAA.

BREAKDOWN COVER SHOOT & TOURNAMENTS

The Breakdown has confirmed that the 2009 Breakdown Cover Photo Shoot will be August 9th, 2009. Players will have a full day of activities conducted by The Breakdown and Timberwolves and Lynx. Players will be introduced on the floor, participate in a skills competition on the Target Center Floor, and receive all kinds of other materials.

The Breakdown will announce the players invited to the media on August 7th, 2009

2) Summer Showcases in Rogers, STMA, Moorhead, Grand Rapids and Rochester are still filling up.
