All 21 (plus five for 16) segments of the 2010 Summer That Was have been posted. I added #20----a look at player differences in high school and AAU/Club pp100s & floor %. There now is another addition-----comparing player rankings.

ON THE GAME-DAR TODAY.

There are 157 volleyball games today. Choice games include---#1AAA Lakeville North at Owatonna; #10AAA Chaska at #3AAA Eastivew; Mankato West is at #1AA Marshall; LeSueur-Henderson is at #6AA Jordan; #2A Bethlehem Academy is at Woodbury; #4A Mayer Lutheran at Waconia

Those of you with subscriptions....some are expiring. You will need to go to the menu side on the left side of the page and open the user menu. Click on my subscription and follow the upgrade/renew instructions. If your subscription has expired you may have to register again with a different email.
If you haven't been a subscriber yet the cost is 13 cents a day--or $50 a year.
College coaches use it for player evaluations.
High School coaches use it for scouting.
Fans use it to keep up with what is happening in the area.
You won't find this information anywhere else.

WBB Verbal: Oliver Verbals Illinois State

basketball 6-2 forward Maddie Oliver of Roland-Story, IA has verballed Illinois State. Oliver averaged 16.1 ppg for RS last year.

Oliver played with All Iowa Attack Jensen 17s during the club season.

Oliver is the 10th player overall from the Iowa 2011 class to verbal.

basketball 6-2 point guard Taylor Greenfield of Ballard, IA has verballed Stanford. Greenfield averaged 19.4 ppg for the 23-1 Bombers last year.

Greenfield played with All IA Attack Jensen 17s during the club season. Greenfield was recently placed #31 in the hoopgurlz rankings.

Greenfield is the 9th player overall from the Iowa 2011 class to verbal and 9th headed to a D1 program.

Welcome back to the 2010 Volleyball Week That Was. I am dividing the Week that Was into at least three parts: 1. general comments & news; 2. Week's superlatives; 3. Week's Awards.

The week (or half a week....or three days to be precise) started on Thursday with the first contests trickling out. Most of the big fish will be rolling this coming week, but some schools are still not in session and won't be until after Labor Day. That is when the heart of the contests will be rolling. But I was able to catch four contests in the three days and that is the basis for the first week that was.
