There were 3 lower seeds advancing to the section semis last night. The lowest seed moving on----#6 in section 1--Faribault beating rival Owatonna in four. One team that was ranked most of the year is done. #5 Lakeville South was upended by Bloomington Jefferson in four. One ranked team is done, but #10 Eagan was a #6 seed falling to #3 Burnsville (receiving votes). Both of those contests came in section 3.
#1 Century survived a five set nailbiter in section 1, one of three five setters on the day. #4 Northfield, also in section 1, rallied from a 2-0 deficit.

#1 Rochester Century beat #8 Rochester JM in five, but JM had 3 more points on the night. Century led 2-0. Brittany Weidman had 21 points for Century. Brianna Atkins had 15 points for JM. From the Rochester Post Bulletin.
#2 Farmington beat #7 Hastings in four with a margin of 15 points.
