About Us
My name is Kevin J. Anderson (the kja in kjasr). The sr could stand for sports report, or sports research or sports review. They all work. I have been involved in high school sports as a fan, player, coach and writer since the early 1970s. I have coached both boys and girls high school varsity basketball plus AAU, and traveling league ball. I have also been (and still am) a varsity volleyball coach---currently at Minneapolis Henry.
How did this site come to be?
In 1997 I started publishing a Girls Basketball recruiting guide for Minnesota. Since that time it has mushroomed into a blog and now this website.
In the Fall of 2005 I started gbbrecruit.blogspot.com. I then added other sports girlsvolleyballrecruit.blogspot.com (fall 2006) and badmintonrecruit.blogspot.com (spring 2006). In the spring of 2008 I was frozen out of by gbbrecruit site and that is when plans were made for a website.
I transitioned over to kjasr.com in December 2008.
The website format allows for more flexibility and I will be continuing to add features in the months to come.
