Minneapolis Henry swept Roosevelt in the first city conference match up of the year. This game also featured the homecoming of the state's youngest coach with former Henry player and third year Roosevelt coach Wendy Vang (Henry 2007). The Patriots trailed in the first set 17-14 when they ran off 10 straight points to go ahead 24-17. Yer Lee was at the service line in that run and had five aces in the run. Serving was the name of the game as Henry delivered 22 aces, but, on the flip side, gave away 15 points on serving errors. Roosevelt led in each game 2-0 (at least) in another trend. Henry beat Roosevelt in earned points 44-19. Top point getter again for the Patriots was 8th grader Madelyn Pashibin with 16 points (5 aces, 1 block and 10 kills). Henry is now 1-1. This was Roosevelt's first game.
